Sixt rent a car

Very good customer service. Brand new rental car. Prompt pickup from the airport. Only issue is their lot is very small...so drop off has no structure/chaotic.

Let me start by saying I understand this issue is my fault for not reading the contract in full. I came to Sixt as a first time customer, a long time Hertz customer. I decided that I would use Sixt as the price for the vehicle was around $20 cheaper per day. When I arrived at this location the customer service seemed very good at first. After telling me I am required by law to get the insurance, which after speaking to my attorney that is not the case. I purchased that and the vehicle. I happily told the representative that I would be driving to Alabama to watch the solar eclipse.... The whole reason I rented the van in the first place. I told her precisely where I was going, the agenda etc. Only to find out that once I left the state I would be charged .50 a mile for the entire trip, not even just the portion outside of the state. I should have read better, but also, I feel like there should be some kind of responsibility by the representatives. If I tell you I'm leaving the state, all she needed to do was tell me that I would be charged and I would have just gone to Hertz. But instead, I was told to have a great trip and to be safe, only to get hit with $600 in additional charges after returning. Disgusting that this type of business is allowed to proceed. But I guess in this day and age it's ok to take advantage of customers. I will be sure to never use this company again, and be sure to let every human I know (I manage a bar, so that's a few thousand people) to never use this company. Too bad, they had some nice cars.

Smooth as silk. Half the price of airport car rentals. Shuttles were quick, rental and return were smooth and quick. Was a little scared after reading other reviews, but the price justified it. Would definitely use them again.

I ordered and paid for a full-sized car. We were a party of 5 adults with luggage for a week. When I got to the Sixt branch, I was told I would be receiving a Chevy Malibu. The Chevy Malibu, on the manufacturer' website is listed as a midsize car, not a full-size car. I talked to the employee and she said they usually give a Toyota Camry for full-size orders but it was unavailable, so I was getting a Malibu instead. I pulled up the Chevrolet website and showed her the manufacturers listing of a mid-size car but she said they considered it full-sized and suitable for 5 adults and luggage.

Well, you're wrong and whoever made that determination should be forced to experience riding in that car for a week with 5 adults and then getting to and from the airport. The trunk was completely full and the passengers had to have luggage in their laps.

You really want to get better? Provide the cars we pay for. I'll never be using Sixt again. No more torture for us.

One other point. We were told the vehicle was being washed and would be ready in 10 minutes. We waited 40 minutes for it to be washed and filled with gas. My reservation was for 9 AM but the flight was delayed and we didn't get to the branch until 11 AM. And we still had to wait about 40 minutes to get our car. Why wasn't it ready at 9 like we ordered? Don't know. Neither did the employees. And nothing was offered as compensation for the wait time and delay. Your company has some stuff to work on.

The location is just a shy 5 min away shuttle from the airport and with your reservation they will send you a link to track the shuttles in real time. Once you get to the facility the place is small but there was great service at the counter. Friendly and great selection of vehicles available. The cars were new and low mileage. The reps will attempt to add ons and make sure you know your credit card and what covers and your insurance if you don't want to pay the extras. Other than that great experience and the prices were competitive with major rental prices. The return option was fairly simple and fast. They sent email with rental receipt. Overall a great experience.
