Made a reservation for late check in. Show up at just before midnight. No one around to let me in. Went to Motel 6 since they answered their phone.

Stayed in enough cookie cutter hotels. I like to check out places like this for a different experience. No breakfast but good coffee and walking down the street to the 600 cafe for good breakfast was convenient. I prefer this downtown location atmosphere to the interstate, more relaxing. Didn't turn on the flat screen tv not sure whats available there. Room was very clean to spotless but you could tell the floor underneath was about 100 years old, kinda cool in my mind. I'd stay again. Bar downstairs but was to tired to partake, maybe next time. Why not 5 stars? Well it's not a 5 star Hotel! But a neat place to stay if your like me.

This is to anyone that books rooms here for the Bucking horse sale.
My father booked us rooms here back in the begining of December and upon checking with both the front desk clerk and the owners was given 3 rooms complete with confirmation numbers. ........Fast forward to today (April 27th ) he receives a call from the Olive Hotel telling him that our reservations will have to be cancelled because they made a mistake and were already booked (This is less than 3 weeks from the sale which leaves us highly unlikely to be able to find another hotel for a decent price, if at all). Upon talking to the owner and trying to work out a reasonable solution for THEIR MISTAKE she refused to budge or to even help with finding alternative arrangements.
I understand mistakes can happen but to not let us know until less than 3 weeks before the event is not only unfair but also unprofessional, especially when It was their mistake. We are from Canada and have been planning this trip for months.

I suggest that anyone who has booked rooms there better call them and confirm that you still have your room so you don't end up stranded.

To the owners of the Olive Hotel; I'm Dissappointed in your lack of organization and your complete disregard and ownership for your own mistakes. Especially ones that's cause people to have to likely cancel their trips. At the very least you could have helped make alternative arrangements. Thanks for the waste of time due to your incompetence. You have just shown me that class, integrity and proffresionalism are traits that you do not have.

Paid about $100 for a room and experience that is worth about $30. Room and furniture in terrible condition, pipes banging in the walls all night, overdue for serious maintenance, room window would not open. A poor experience that I do not recommend.
