Hotel ibis Glasgow City Centre

We stayed here overnight for a date weekend, and it was perfect for what we needed.
The bed was a good-sized double, and comfortable: and unbleached cotton, a nice environmental touch.
The bathroom had a very spacious shower, much bigger than I expected.
Breakfast the next day was a buffet with a large selection, and plenty for vegetarians.
I enjoyed my stay and will think of this Ibis first when I need somewhere to stay in Glasgow.

The room was fine for staying two nights in Glasgow, but for the price you could get a much nicer Bed & Breakfast. The bathroom and toilet were clean, but could have been better. (Rumbling sound whenever someone above or below us used the toilet) The location is perfect, though, as you are directly at a busy street with lots of restaurants and shops. All in all I believe that a hotel of this large franchise could either offer better rooms for the price or make them cheaper.

The staff were extremely helpful when asking for directions, and looking for some interesting things to do. The room was very comfortable, and the location was extremely convenient. The restaurant provided a good breakfast and the dinner we had there was good also.
The only drawback is the lack of onsite parking. They do validate your ticket so that you get a discount on the overnight rate at the city car park that is within walking distance. During day you can park out front but not overnight.

I didn't interact with any staff or use services so there isn't much to say - it was a brief stay and we really just needed a room. The room seemed clean and provided the basics only. I wouldn't stay here if you want to feel like you've got a nice place to hang out in, but it worked and was well located for a night's sleep. We were able to walk to and from the whole downtown area (though we're up for lots of walking).

Great overnight stay. Ideal for attending a gig at The Garage only 2 streets away. Room was clean and comfortable, spacious with ample storage and counter space. Bed was comfortable and shower room/ toilet were spotless, shower was brilliant powerful with a very easy temperature control. Staff were friendly and helpful, will definitely be using the ibis again.
