Nice friendly oldschool hotel. Rooms somewhat small but functional. Clean and fresh, nice breakfast buffet.

Clean and tidy with a good breakfast. Friendly staff... they rooms are small, but clean and tidy. However, the Wi-Fi in the hotel doesn't work properly. It can be difficult to work on the WiFi there.

Hotel Hörnan makes a very classic impression and lies in an extremely practical location almost in the middle of town. We were greeted with utmost professionalism, and our room featured a very comfortable bed, a stylish retro looking bathroom and an incredibly good armchair. I was left looking for tea and coffee making facilities, but by no means can this be seen as a deal breaker (these are available near the the lobby).

The old, vintage look extends all the way through the hotel, with very old but well kept wooden flooring and quaintly decorated ceilings.

Should we ever find ourselves in Uppsala again, we will keep an eye out for available in the Grand Hotell Hörnan.

We often visit for a drink as it's always nice and quiet (but not awkwardly so). They have an excellent selection of beers in the bar. The decor in general is very modern yet classic at the same time. I haven't stayed in rooms for two years, but they were beautifully appointed and very tasteful. I can recommend going for breakfast at the weekend; we've visited as non residents several times. One of our favourite places in Uppsala.
