Very comfortable. You feel like your at home. There is a full kitchen at your disposal (they even provide all the fixings for a nice breakfast) this a very clean property. Another plus, you are only a few blocks walk to the downtown historical district. It is top notch for being a hostel.

Very friendly. Very clean. Very affordable. This place beats an expensive hotel. Also walkable to the heart of. Old town ☺

It's really close to the Wilmington downtown area. The rooms are kept very neatly and there are a littel personal notes that give it a worldly feel. It feels more like staying at a friend's home. The rules of The hostel are simple and has rely mostly on the trusts of the guests, as there are times that the hosts, owners, or staff are not present. The only issue really was the bathtub. The whole of the house is clean, but with so many different people coming in and out of the shower, the actual tub is a little groudy. A good scrub with some Comet or Ajax would fix it. All in all, I enjoyed my stay and would visit again. If you are in need of a inexpensive place to stay while visiting the Wilmington downtown or historic district, Stella Maris Hostel is the place.

This place is super close to downtown. You can walk to dinner and enjoy the nightlife without the need to drive or call an Uber. I loved that. It's also charming. It's setup like a real hostel with community sharing of living room and kitchen. The back yard is a great place to hang out and talk to other travelers. And as far as hostels go, this place is clean which is nice.
