This place welcomed me like family an honestly ive only felt that from the kindness of strangers. So when I was cold/hot an needed some where to go an eat. They sheltered me an feed me. So if your needing a place that safe an has great vibes. Lighthouse is that shining light in the darkness that is this cold world

They discriminate against persons with disabilities. I was kicked out because I have a service animal. Period!

After reading the past comments, I will offer another personal perspective. Here is the deal. YES, it is Christian based, and YES, it is used as a recruitment tool to share their version of Christianity. HOWEVER, there are many GREAT PEOPLE, and LOVING SPIRITS that are serving how they are able to, and according to what brought them PEACE. I do not agree with some of their policies, but they are a refuge for many who have nowhere else to go, and its a great place to enjoy a meal, and speak with all walks of life. I have found the greatest gifts and words of wisdom come from those who are not preaching from a book, or even a religion, but speak from the HEART of experience..Thanks Conrad :)

As for people who consider themselves 'part' of the mission there, Ken is a gentlemen volunteer who has all of the local information on services for the homeless, or stranded. I would like to share what I was able to witness as my personal testimony. Today, while at breakfast, I spoke to lady who was arrested for an old warrant, and was extradited by the Wanatchee police from her home in Arizona. After her hearing, she was released from jail, with all of her money confiscated during the arrest and tied up in the system. She had no way home from Washington State, no one to send her more money from Arizona, and suffered from emotional issues from the ordeal. According to her, she had cleaned herself up after 22 years on meth, and was doing good until arrested on an old warrant from Wenatchee. Feeling like she was abandoned, and left to fend for herself, she said she was scared, and never been in that type of situation before. I suggested she speak to Ken, and sure enough, not only did he have answers for her, he prayed with her and brought tears of relief to her situation. My point is, there are many good people that work there, and if anyone is down on their luck, its a great place to find help.

I personally enjoy speaking with those who frequent it, and there is always a cup of hot coffee in the morning. .... They are examples that its not only 'Jesus' that saves, but those who care for others too..
