Texas Lakeside RV resort is by far the nicest RV park we have ever stayed at, but beware the owners are scam artist. They intentionally overbook the park and then start evicting renters for unsubstantiated reasons to re-rent the lots. I called and made a reservation on April 11th and $150 was charged to my card. I checked in on April 17th and informed the owner at that time that I had my pit bull dog with me. She said that was fine and rented me a lot and another $661 was charged for monthly rental. Then on April 27th, her husband sent me a very nasty text full of lies and inaccuratcies, and demanding that I vacate the premises immediately. I did so, and when we checked out, she apologized and assured me that she would recredit my account the balance due to me, and that she would PROMPTLY let me know when she did so. That was another lie. When I checked my card, I was recredited only $45.03. So this 10 day nightmare wound up costing me $765 plus a retainer fee for a lawyer. So BEWARE, don't let all the pretty bells and whistles fool you, the owners are liers, thief's and con artist.

We stayed for two months and it was an awesome resort....we loved it from the personnel to the people staying in the resort everybody was so nice and clean.....loved all the ammenities they have, especially the weight room which was my favorite....if we ever come back to port lavaca hope they have a spot for us.....really happy staying there....🤗

Some sites too small for 45 foot coach, to get around a car had to put one wheel in the grass. Manager called 2 hours after I left and said he
was putting a $100 damage fee on my debit card. because of rut in grass.
There are better places to stay in the area.

Nicely done park but looks new so not so much in the way of landscaping at the sites. Traffic noise was loud, bothered me so we only stayed 2 nights instead of 4. Check in attendant had no personality. Internet worked well. Quite a few workers here as there seems to be everywhere in Texas. Port Lavaca is kind of a dead town however, we did find a gem restaurant, Texas Traditions and Bakery. I had the shrimp and oysters (both fresh!), hubby the fried catfish....all were excellent. 5 *'s.
