After renting from Avis at the airport for a couple months, I decided to try this location. I expected the same friendly, helpful service. For the most part the man was nice, but he sent me out to the car without walking me out and told me if I noticed any marks that I wanted him to list, let him know otherwise I could leave. If this was my first time I might not have understood that not having him mark down every existing scratch or dent (damage), prior to my leaving would mean that I would be responsible for the damage.

The car had a lot of damage. All four doors were marked up, the hood, the trunk and the bumper. It was the most damaged car that I ever rented. I have rented from rent a wreck! When I went back in. He said, "oh, did I give you the car with all the damage?" Oh my goodness, he knew! I don't know if it was an attempt to scam me, incompetence, or something else. It wasn't right.

I will not go back. The people at the airport work to make you happy and do the right thing!

I highly recommend getting your rental car here. Iv been to all the other rental car agents in the area and was dissatisfied with the result. Avis will always take care of there customers. Make your next reservation here.

I made my reservation using the 800-number and was told that I could provide my insurance information for direct billing when I arrived to the location. Lori checked me in and told me when I arrived that "We aren't doing that right now". I asked what she meant. Lori then said that the company was not dealing with insurance billing in my area due to a high volume of rentals needed -due to the recent severe hail storm. Being that I was in a bind and had no other choice for a rental car, I had to pay out of pocket.
She put me in a Ford Focus. I get in the car, turn it on, and immediately notice the "Low Tire Pressure" gauge is on. I go back into the store to let Lori know about it. She tells me that "This is normal for the area" and "All of our cars say that". I have lived in this area for 6 months now and I can assure you that this is NOT normal, especially for this time of the year. She then tells me that if the gauge is still on and is bothering me then I can "just add air to the tires". Really? What should have happened was that she should have offered to drive the car around back and add air for me! That would have been the correct way to approach the problem, especially considering that I was already upset about having to pay out of pocket for the rental. She would have been providing better customer service by not allowing me to leave with low tire pressure, and upset about the poor customer service she gave me.
This was not my first experience renting from Avis. Just a week before this I rented a different car from the COS airport location for the same reason as this rental- the severe hail storm. I understand that airport locations don't deal with insurance, but to be told in person at a different location that they don't either is unacceptable considering I was told by the national number that they do.
I will never use your company again.

Have used AVIS in the past and will continue to use AVIS in the future. Great experience, Great company!
