HORRIBLE .... we were SHOVED out because we requested a beer since our initial drink was AWFUL... What kind of place allows their bartenders to treat people like that.

Oh man... The Drunken Monken. With "drunk" in the name, it should give you an idea of what type of place this is. A bar/club where people get drunk and dance. It usually ends up being an end-of-night place for me. I'm pretty sure my shoes have stuck to the bathroom floor every time I've been here. The swinging bar stools are cool, but if you haven't already had a few drinks this may not be the place for you.

Bartenders and bouncers are rude, the only good thing about this bar is the swings... If you are lucky enough to go on them.

What is with cranky bartenders?! Never have been treated so poorly by a bartender. He kicked us out (the place was dead) because my uncle asked for a drink the bartender did not know how to make (a bourbon soda with a twist!!). He could have politely asked, "what is that?" instead he just rolled his eyes and said, "I don't know what that is". I asked why he was so mad, and he just poured out my drink! It was a toddler hissy fit. Very bizarre behavior. He was rude to everyone. I am in disbelief still. We visited other bars on the street after being kicked out, and other bartenders had heard the same reputation from this place/that bartender. Not the vibe I want to be around. Isn't it part of your job to be kind and serve paying customers?

Crowded as hell. Still, after a few shots, won't bother you. I like the swings at the bar, the music is dope, and having the DJ in view of everyone gives it a different feel than many other clubs. The fishbowl drinks, not sure the name, are really good, but dangerous because of that. They are sweet and barely taste the liquor, so you are gone by the time you finish it, even with 3 others helping. The dance floor upstairs is not that good, but pretty chill at the back in the booths. Great place to stop at for the beginning of the night.
