Love my moules. Desert was perfect as always. My favorite restaurant anywhere. Our waiter is the best as always.

The bouillabaisse was rather seafood poor, and the sauce was a little too thick. Food was brought out very quickly - before we had decided on the wine, even. Dessert (a merangue ice-cream concoction) was good. Without it, we would have left hungry.

We made reservations for my husband’s 60 th birthday on 11/02/17. Unfortunately I was ill, so we rescheduled for Saturday the 4th. On Friday the 3rd, we received a reminder call about our reservation that evening. We reiterated that we had changed our reservation to Saturday. They said that would be fine. When we arrived Saturday evening, they couldn’t find our reservation. We were finally seated in the bar area. Our waitress , Sarah, was a gem and was tipped generously. The manager, Andres, came by to apologize but did nothing to make the situation right. We have always brought visitors to Rue de Jean for a special Charleston
experience. After having such a disappointing experience on a special occasion, I doubt we’ll return and certainly cannot recommend you to others. What a disappointment,

Amazing food, great service. Upscale dining without the stuffy atmosphere. Love it. Go there!

delightful!!! my husband and i shared the pork chop and it was delicious! They were kind, and actually halved it for us I think, before they prepared it... so it was a little drier then i think it would have been if we had just ordered one and split it at the table! I would absolutely recommend it though! The atmosphere was wonderful and the wine was delicious!
