If you are in Kiev for sightseeing, that's one place you have to visit. A historical structure, with quick tour. You can also have a coffee or dinner in the surrounding area.

Good historical place but not that interesting,we can see a cat sculpture here .

Do not jump to quick conclusions, that this place is not worth visiting (being only a remnant of medieval city wall, that surrounded Kiev old cit, it may not look exceptional from the ground). However, we were offered a very interesting excursion with elements of performance by actors. We have checked the evening one and very absolutely delighted by the service and in-depth historical information that would be interesting to tourist and local alike.
They also allow to get to the chapel on the top of the Golden Gate.

A little bit interesting if you have time for it. Not all original, of course, after a thousand years. Not far from the center, so why not. Entrance per person costs less than 2 dollars.
