Excellent hotel and was very happy here. Easy to find and use the free shuttle bus to/from the airport. Hotel a little bit out of downtown Singapore, but they have a free shuttle bus hourly, plus it's so easy to get a public bus across the road. Taxis are available too.
Rooms are spacious and modern. I appreciate the upgrade for being an Accor Plus Platinum Member - thank you. Interactions with staff was pleasant and the Executive Lounge was a lovely place to have breakfast and evening cocktails and the staff there were all fantastic. A great experience and would definitely go back. Highly recommended.

The staff are amazing. We were welcomed like old friends by Eddie in the Breeze bar. The staff are warm, friendly and highly efficient - from front desk and concierge to room service. Nothing is too much trouble. Hotel is ideally located and facilities in hotel excellent.

One of the best stay with Grand Mercure Roxy as compared to previous. In fact, the trainee who handled my check in did a great job. All I did was to provide an ID and my member's perks and welcome stuff were all accorded. Even the room type upgrade came as a surprise, knowing that I would have preferred a bigger room than one with a "good view". Nearby has lots of eateries to explore and relatively quiet neighbourhood, with well connected public transports.

At a glance the hotel looks good, although an understaffed front desk during peak time in morning. Customer wants a smooth check in/out.
In corridor there was a smell as it seems to have been some kind of a leakage. I am sensitive to microbiological growth/smell and there was a clear smell from mould! A machine to remove humidity placed outside my door in corridor.
Room was neat and tidy, breakfast however very noisy environment. This is not how I want to start by business day.
Checking out I asked for a prolonged/extended check out. As member of loyalty program, they could have walked an extra mile for me to stay in room until later (provided that no customer was waiting for room the very next day). Only offered to pay for an extra night..

I only stayed one night while on transit (with an early morning 6am flight out of SIN). The room was great, but I'd just say that brighter lighting would be nice. I appreciated the helpfulness of the front desk to point out where various things were in the surrounding area (there are a few shopping malls/massage places nearby). The only real drawback was the Cantonese restaurant. They were promoting their own restaurants, and since I was really there to rest, decided to check it out for convenience. The restaurant service was great, but the food was not up to my expectation. Everything else was great, and there are plenty of other options (and I can't rate the hotel's other restaurants since I did not try them) around to eat.
