Retro Hostel

We stayed at retro hostel in Cluj for two nights during a bicycle tour through romania.

The building itself was really interesting with parts of the old city walls forming interior walls. Room was clean and the location is central in the old part of the town.

The best thing about the hostel, however, was the really friendly and helpful staff. They found us a place to keep our bikes indoors which was secure.

In particular, Bogdan, Kostmann and Razvan were very helpful and gave us lots of good advice about what to do around Cluj and also in helping us plan the next stage of or trip, including helping us with romanian websites.

Finally, retro does a really good breakfast with a lot of choice and has really good bean-cup coffee machine that was free which we really appreciated.

The matrasses are really old, you feel all the springs while trying to sleep. I couldnt sleep well. The hostel is in a street near bars and night clubs so it is very loud till late in the night, specially on saturadays. The staff is friendly but the instalations (beds, bathrooms, showers...) are not good.

Very friendly staff and very cheap Price. Clean Rooms. A fresh Breakfast is include the Price

Price and location is good. The staff is kind and helpfull. Only 4 stars because I almost does not physically fit in the bathroom with my legs. Would go again if I return to Cluj.

Nice place, beds are comfortable and the staff is welcoming.
Breakfast is a bit small (if you offer a service, do it completely) and the toilets could be cleaner.
