Nice decoration and comfortable seat, love the Latin music as always. Cocktails is good looking Howard they will have some updates on the drink menu. A good place for friends catchup.

great tapas with a solid Spanish wine list. friendly staff, the manager tries to keep everyone happy. good to drop in for a drink and the long tables out front.

Went to this place attracted by the Spanish chorizos and hams but mostly by the special Spanish sauce that you only find in a few places in Auckland. Had a tapas meal and asked for this particular sauce. Waitress repeatedly said that the sauce was not included in my meal, and she mentioned another meal that “came” with that particular sauce. As my reason to be there was that particular sauce I offered to pay for the sauce that did not “come” with meal and I was told they could not do that!
Finished my meal I wanted to take away another set meal which I thought included the elusive sauce, and having been accepted and ready to pay waiting at the counter while the waitress struggled with the register, I was told again the sauce did not “come” with it. I again offered to pay for the sauce! There was a guy standing beside who later I found out was the “manager”; who intervened and said again that particular sauce did not “come” with that meal and also that “they don’t do takeaways”! That was enough for me to decide not to take anything away and I said to the girl: forget it, and put my card back in my wallet. I left the counter and went to a friend’s table to comment about the situation that I found quite ridiculous. To my surprise the “manager”, leaving his place behind the counter, suddenly came up to where I was. He was rude, confrontational and weirdly asking why I was angry. I said I am not angry and I have the right to my opinion that this situation about the hideous sauce was just ridiculous, I also said that I have the right to change my mind and not buying the set meal since I was not going to get the sauce that I wanted. He even followed me to the outside when I was ready to leave, repeatedly accusing me of being “angry” and confronting me again in a very inappropriate manner invading my personal space looking for an opportunity to make the situation worse and eventually yelling a couple of times “I don’t want to see you here!”. I am a highly educated person, I kept my calm and left.
This is an attitude that you never expect from a person who is “in charge” of a venue like this in the heart of Auckland city, breaking the most fundamental concepts of customer service and satisfaction, respect, and throwing away the premise that “the customer is always right”. This “manager” showed intolerance, ineptitude and lack of ability to deal with a simple customer request. Shareholders/owners should review this person’s skills and act accordingly. Thank you.
Other reviews I checked in this portal sadly show the same rudeness problem at this place.

A really good place to meet friends and enjoy great quality food - especially their Tapas. We did find the booth chairs were somewhat uncomfortable, a bit wobbly and in need of repair - it felt like we were going to fall of the end! Besides that, the staff are super friendly and very knowledgeable. Highly recommended eatery.
