Great place for a relaxed night on the town. Great food, fantastic service, and a good price. Definitely worthy of multiple visits.

Horrible experience. Probably one of the worst experiences I have ever had for brunch.

I went for Brunch - the restraurant was almost all full (about 4-5 tables open). We sat on the patio outside. They brought out coffee and water fairly quickly. After ordering our meals, it took an HOUR for the food to come out. AN HOUR FOR EGGS. Around the half hour mark, the server came out and said that he sees that the food will be ready soon. Half an hour later, he brings out our plates and says it's "fresh" - so fresh that they FORGOT half of the ingredients in my husbands eggs benedict.

I went in (because they did not come out to check on us) and explained how they forgot some ingredients in the eggs benedict. The server said, well "sorry for the wait and all we can do is make you a new plate or give you the ingredients on the side"

After all of this, our server did NOT come out again to serve us - he ordered another server to come "deal" with us. They offered us complimentary DESSERT after a Brunch. So ridiculous. They didn't even give us 10% off.

We didn't take the dessert - So we paid the 40$ bill, and left. And we will NEVER go back again. I've worked in the restaurant business for about 8 years, and if this EVER happened, their meal would be complimentary, or we would find another way to make our customer happy.

I would never recommend this place to anyone. What a disgrace to be in Little Italy.

Hands down the best Italian food in Ottawa! Service is always great and brunch or dinner never fails to impress!

My dad likes to take us here on Sunday mornings sometimes. It's usually not too busy that you can't get a seat. They have some good, classic breakfast options. I usually get the egg's Benedict on eggplant and it's very tasty. There is parking in the back for customers as well, which is a huge plus because parking in Little Italy can be hard.

As someone from a smaller town who doesn't get to experience (good) Italian food often I was extremely impressed by the food and atmosphere at Il Primo.

My partner and I arrived just after they opened at 5pm on a Thursday and were seated immediately in the empty restaurant. Our server was extremely friendly. Over the almost 2 hours we were there things did start to get busy as other groups arrived, but the waiter was able to juggle the groups well. The food was delicious and came quite quickly.

Would defiantly go again if I was in the city, and would recommend it to my friends.
